AirO
Training operations
LiveAirO books each student the right exercise at the right time, and runs the school's roster, authorisation register and flying hours.
In use at FSTC.
One exercise in AirO, from request to analytics.
Each step follows the last, in AirO and the Aircraftly app, so every sortie moves the student's progress forward and nothing is written down twice.
Read the eight steps
- Requested. A student or instructor requests an exercise, or Ops creates it.
- Approved by Ops. Ops approves it and books the slot.
- Brief. The instructor briefs the student before the sortie.
- Fly. The sortie is flown and recorded.
- Self-evaluation. The student assesses their own exercise.
- Debrief. The instructor debriefs and grades it.
- Course progress. Grades and hours update the student's progress.
- Analytics. Ops and the CFI see how training is going across the school.

What it does
Everything here is live. Status as of 28 Oct 2026.
-
Slot booking and the Slot Board
Book slots by aircraft and instructor, or by hand. The Master Roster shows the whole school.
-
The daily authorisation register
Record each flight's outcome, then close the day with cross-checks.
-
Flying hours and reports
Per aircraft, instructor and student, built from the register.
-
Bases, students and courses
Several bases per school, students in batches, courses as exercises. Move aircraft, pilots, students and staff from one base to another.
-
Roster and register, with Avir
Avir drafts the day's roster and fills the register from a photo. Ops checks both.
-
Brief and debrief from your TPM
Built from your TPM for each trainee's stage; the debrief flows back into course progress.
-
